About the Role / 役割について

We are seeking a Travel Experience Designer to support the planning, coordination, and ongoing enhancement of Japan travel experiences for international visitors. This role focuses on developing and refining tours and itineraries that are not only operationally sound, but also aligned with traveler interests, market trends, and customer expectations.

In this position, you will work closely with internal teams, guides, and local partners to translate traveler needs and business goals into well-designed, high-quality experiences. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, understands inbound tourism, and can apply customer, branding, or marketing insight to improve how travel products are structured, positioned, and delivered. Familiarity with Japanese culture, hospitality, and business practices is highly valued.


Key Responsibilities / 職務上の責任

  • Research destinations and design new tours and cultural experiences for international travelers
  • Enhance and update existing travel products based on guest feedback, booking performance, and market trends
  • Assist with the rollout of new travel products through internal coordination and clear documentation
  • Incorporate marketing and customer insights into tour planning, including audience needs, positioning, and seasonal demand
  • Review customer behavior and performance data to inform ongoing improvements and future experience development

Requirements / 求める人材

  • Advanced-level Japanese (JLPT N2 or equivalent) and fluent English
  • 3 – 5 years in roles such as research and development, product design, project management, business development, tour coordination, event planning, operations, or hospitality/travel management in Japan
  • Background in hospitality, tourism, or travel strongly preferred
  • Experience designing tours, itineraries, or guest experiences is highly desirable
