Pricing varies by departure date and confirmed course option. Standard and Regular Demand dates generally fall into lower pricing bands, while Higher, Very High, and Peak Demand dates are generally priced higher. Exact availability and final pricing will be confirmed after we review your request.

Morning / Early Departure

An earlier departure with a longer first-day climb, followed by rest at an 8th Station or higher mountain hut before continuing toward the summit.

✓ Approximately 4–5 hours of climbing on Day 1
✓ 8th Station or higher mountain hut
✓ Shorter summit section after resting

Midday / Later Departure

A later departure with a shorter first-day climb, followed by a longer overnight ascent toward the summit.

DAY 1

Tokyo Area → Mountain Hut

01 Depart the Tokyo Area — Travel by shared bus to Mt. Fuji.
02 Mt. Fuji 5th Station — Prepare and collect reserved rental gear.
03 Guided Climb — Climb approximately 3–5 hours depending on the course.
04 Mountain Hut Stay — Dinner and a short rest before the overnight climb.
DAY 2

Summit Attempt → Tokyo Area

01 Pre-Dawn Climb — Leave the mountain hut during the night or early morning.
02 Summit & Sunrise Attempt — Subject to weather, timing, and safety conditions.
03 Descend — Return to the 5th Station in approximately 3–4 hours.
04 Bath & Buffet Lunch — Relax and refuel after the descent.
05 Return to the Tokyo Area — Arrive back later in the day.

Mountain hut accommodation is simple, shared, and dormitory-style. Baths and showers are not available, and carrying cash is recommended.

Who Can Join

Ages 18–69: Normally eligible to join.
Ages 70–74: Special conditions apply and another adult participant is required.
Younger climbers: Age conditions, adult accompaniment, and parental consent requirements may apply.
Guests aged 75 or above and children below the minimum eligible age cannot participate.
Guests with health concerns should consult an appropriate medical professional before booking.

Will there be English-language guiding during the climb?
English-language guiding during the climb is not included or guaranteed. Japan Awaits provides English booking support before departure.
Which climbing course will I join?
The confirmed course depends on your requested date, departure schedule, bus seat availability, mountain hut availability, and operating conditions.
Can I join the crater rim walk?
The crater rim walk may be available for eligible Plan 1 departures, depending on the course, timing, weather, trail conditions, and guide approval.
Is the mountain hut confirmed when I submit a request?
No. Mountain hut availability is checked together with the available course, transportation, and other requested arrangements.
Is reaching the summit guaranteed?
No. Summit access and sunrise visibility are not guaranteed. The climb may be changed or stopped due to weather, timing, participant condition, congestion, or safety concerns.
Can I join without proper hiking equipment?
Suitable waterproof clothing, warm layers, hiking footwear, gloves, and a headlamp are essential. Guests without suitable equipment may be refused participation.
Can I leave luggage on the bus?
The outbound and return vehicles may be different, so luggage should not be left on the bus. Please use available lockers or storage facilities when needed.
