Cruise Time Is Precious

We Plan Around Your Ship

Every port call is different. We plan your excursion around the time available ashore and the practical conditions that may affect your day.

  • Review your ship schedule and the realistic time available ashore.
  • Consider port access and local transportation conditions.
  • Build a realistic itinerary that fits comfortably within your port call.
  • Allow an appropriate return buffer before final boarding.

Private and Custom Experiences, Just for You

We create shore excursions that match your interests, group, available time, and practical port conditions.

Combine a local guide with private transportation when both are a good fit for your itinerary.

Public Transportation Tour

Explore by train, bus, subway, and on foot where public transportation works well for your itinerary.

Port & City Transfers

Arrange port-to-city or city-to-city transportation based on your route, timing, and local conditions.

Custom Shore Excursion

Port Logistics Can Be Complex

Port Pickup Depends on the Port

Pickup arrangements vary between ports and cruise calls. We review the relevant access and transportation conditions before confirming your meeting point or vehicle pickup plan.

Ship-Side Pickup

Direct pickup beside the ship may not be possible at every port.

Port Access

Vehicle access and designated pickup areas vary by terminal, berth, and local port rules.

Meeting Your Guide or Driver

At some ports, guests may need to walk or use a port shuttle before reaching the meeting point.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Cruise schedules, port access, and local conditions can vary. These answers cover some of the most common questions when planning a private shore excursion in Japan.

How far in advance should I request a shore excursion?

Where possible, we recommend contacting us around 4–6 months in advance. This gives us more time to review local guide and transportation options, particularly for busy dates or destinations with limited availability.

Do you arrange shore excursions from ports across Japan?

We review shore excursion requests from ports across Japan. What we can arrange depends on the destination, date, available time ashore, local guide coverage, transportation, and operational conditions at the port.

Do I need to know my exact terminal or berth?

No. You can begin your initial request with your cruise ship name, port, and port call date. If your terminal or berth is already known, you are welcome to include it, but we can collect this information later when needed.

Can our guide or driver meet us directly beside the ship?

Not at every port. Access rules and designated meeting areas vary, and some ports may require guests to walk or use a port shuttle before meeting their guide or driver. Final meeting instructions will be confirmed after the relevant port arrangements have been reviewed.

Can I choose between a guide, private vehicle, or public transportation?

Yes. Depending on the destination and itinerary, your excursion may use a local private guide, a private vehicle, both a guide and vehicle, or public transportation. We will review which arrangements are practical for your port day and request.

What happens if my cruise schedule or port changes?

Please let us know as soon as your cruise line confirms a change. We will review the revised port, schedule, transportation arrangements, supplier availability, and itinerary to determine what may still be feasible.

Travel insurance is strongly recommended. Guests should consider appropriate coverage for cruise schedule changes, port cancellations, delays, and other unforeseen circumstances that may affect their shore excursion.

How do you plan around final boarding time?

We review the time available ashore, expected travel time, itinerary, transportation conditions, and other relevant factors, then plan an appropriate return buffer before final boarding.
