Dietary Information

Due to the nature of this tour and the independent local food vendors we visit, we are unable to modify individual food items to accommodate dietary restrictions or allergies.

All dishes are prepared and served by independent shops within Tsukiji Market, so Japan Awaits does not control the ingredients, preparation areas, or cooking methods used by each vendor.

At the beginning of the tour, guests will receive ingredient information for the food items included at each scheduled stop. Guests can use this information to decide which items they feel comfortable trying.

Guests with food allergies or dietary concerns should review the information carefully and inform the guide of any allergies before sampling food. Please note that cross-contamination may still be possible at independent vendor locations.

Vegetarian and Vegan Guests

This tour is not suitable for vegetarians or vegans, as many of the scheduled tastings include seafood and other animal-based ingredients, and alternative substitutions cannot be arranged.

Age Requirement

This tour is recommended for guests aged 12 and above due to the inclusion of raw seafood and strong or unfamiliar flavors. Younger children may participate when accompanied by a responsible adult, but parents and guardians should carefully consider whether the tasting menu is suitable for them and are responsible for managing their dietary needs.

Payment

All bookings are payable via Stripe (Booking Checkout) or Flywire. Confirmations regarding your booking will be sent at least 10 days before your activity date.

Do I need to bring anything with me?

Come hungry and ready to explore. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended, as the experience takes place on foot within the busy Tsukiji Outer Market area. Guests with dietary concerns should also carefully review the ingredient information provided at the beginning of the tour.
